Tayese Academy of Arts and Culture (TAAC) London has announced a new collaboration with MIDEXCLUSIVE Production to produce a captivating movie titled: “Ogun Aiye”.
The Creative Project Director of TAAC, Larry Sharafa, disclosed this in a press statement made available to newsmen in Lagos.
Larry explained that the collaboration between Tayese Academy and MIDEXCLUSIVE is to ensure a production of high quality and intriguing movie by leveraging the strengths and expertise of the producer, Aramide Ottun, and the entire Tayese Academy team in the realms of art and film.
He noted that the film is set to be a significant cultural milestone, promoting the rich heritage of Yoruba art and culture.
According to him, ‘Ogun Aiye’ promises to be a compelling portrayal of yoruba traditions, myths, and artistic expressions, aiming to captivate audiences with its authentic storytelling and vibrant cultural representation.
Larry further said the movie will have its first public show in the United Kingdom later in the year, which marks another grand entry with a movie premiere event organized by Tayese of London.
He said: “This exclusive premiere is scheduled to take place around September 2024, offering a unique opportunity for audiences to be among the first to witness this cultural masterpiece.
“The collaboration not only highlights the importance of preserving and promoting yoruba culture but
also aims to create a platform for cultural exchange and appreciation on a global scale.
“Through Ogun Aiye, viewers will gain deeper insights into the Yoruba way of life, their values, and their artistic legacy.
According to Larry, details about the premiere event, including the exact date, venue, and ticket information, will be announced in the coming months.
Commenting, Aramide Ottun, CEO, MIDEXCLUSIVE /producer of Ogun Aye expressed excitement and fulfilment to the collaboration between TAAC and her movie production label.
Aramide, having produced blockbuster movies such as Ago kan (one o’ clock), Public Toilet, and Aramide, and also partnered foremost movie production company, Corporate Pictures, said that the collaboration with Tayese is an opportunity for her creativity and production to be showcased to the global market.
She hinted that Ogun Aye is a true life story of a young lady and her travail with marriage, finances, family, friends, and how she was able to surmount the battles that surrounded her.
According to her, the movie is full of originality, suspense, emotional and thrilling actions that keeps viewers to the edge of their seats till the end.
Aramide appreciated Tayese Academy for the endorsement and collaboration, while looking forward to deeper collaboration with the Academy and other like mind institutions in other areas.
