Friday Osanebi
Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the March 2023 guber polls in Delta, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi has sued for peace over the recent clashes in Kwale that seen over ten youths lose their lives in the past few months.
Osanebi in a message of appeal signed by his Principal Secretary, Idi Presley, said the killings hasn’t only lingered for too long, it has also brought the once bubbling town of Kwale, headquarters of Ndokwa West to it’s knees.
He appealed to the security agencies to step in and salvage the situation, to enable the people go about their daily activities without fear.
“My dear brothers, it’s very disheartening to see the numbers of vibrant young men that has been killed recently. With two more allegedly hacked to death again today.
“It saddens my heart to see that, we all whom are supposed to live in peace as brothers are the one’s now at loggerheads for no reason.
“I have always stated that killing your own brother doesn’t make you a warrior and there’s no where in the world that two wrongs has ever made one right.
“I’m therefore appealing to all of you to sheathe your swords and give peace a chance, so we can all begin to enjoy our ‘K Town’ very well again.
“To the security agencies, I am calling on you to collaborate with the leadership of the local government and other relevant stakeholders to ensure this situation is salvaged as soon as possible.
“To the locals, you stand to gain the most when there’s peace, so I beg you not to allow those whom are not indigenes cause further unrest in the town.
“In my own little way, I will be willing to assist to ensure this whole debacle is brought to an end once and for all, so we all can live in peace and harmony”, the message read.
