Hardship: Ex-NAOSS President, Akeredolu, empowers 1000 youths in Ondo

A former President of the National Association of Ondo State Students (NAOSS) and Founder of Emmanuel Charity Foundation, Olarenwaju  Akeredolu has empowered over 1,000 youths including students, inmates and underprivileged  in the last three years.

Akeredolu said this in a statement he issued to usher in the third anniversary of the foundation tagged “AKEE BOBO 3.0”.

He said that the third anniversary is designed to equip 100 youths in Owo, Ondo State with essential entrepreneurship and artisan skills.

According to him “the current situation in the country is highly unbearable, hence the need for spirited individuals to assist the people at this crucial time.

He said , “The milestone event, AKEE BOBO 3.0, will focus on providing valuable training in artisanal skills, IT, and other vocational disciplines.

 “This initiative is designed to help young people become self-sufficient and productive members of society. It continues the foundation’s mission to uplift the community, driven by the unwavering dedication and philanthropic efforts of Hon. Olanrewaju Akeredolu.

“The current situation in the country needs interventions from different people. Empowering our youth has always been at the heart of our mission.

” We have consistently focused on creating opportunities for individuals across various sectors. Our foundation has carried out numerous empowerment programs and support initiatives benefiting young people, Persons with disabilities, prison inmates, vulnerable children, hospitals, men, women, and the youth”

” It is s another step towards our vision of a prosperous and self-reliant community. I encourage our teeming youths in Ondo State to seize this opportunity to learn, grow, and transform their futures.”

The programme, according to Akeredolu will include comprehensive training and mentorship in various artisan skills, IT, and other entrepreneurial skills.

He added that the participants will also be provided with startup grants and kits to help them kickstart their businesses, stressing that, “the ultimate goal is to enable youths to transition from the streets to building sustainable futures”
