Oborevwori kept to campaign promises – Ossai

The Senior Special Assitant on Media to the Delta State Governor Mr Ossai Ovie Success has said that the Governor Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori made promises during the electioneering period and has kept to some of the promises.

According to Ossai on his social media pages , the kind of governor Delta State has in Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori is a model for other states to emulate.

Ossai said during the governor campaign, he made promises to the people of Delta State, and he has been working tirelessly to fulfill them since assuming office.

“His agenda, dubbed the “MORE Agenda,” prioritizes meaningful development, opportunities for all, realistic reforms, and enhanced peace and security.

In keeping with his campaign promises, Governor Oborevwori has implemented various initiatives, including restructuring the state’s public service, approving payments for public personnel and retirees, and providing ex-gratia stipends for civil servants.

He has also invested in employee development, allocating funds for housing and vehicle loans, and employing new teaching and non-teaching staff to address labor shortages.

The governor has initiated numerous road projects, empowered over 50,000 youths, and provided grants to traders and artisans. He has also scaled up the Delta COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (D-CARES) Programme, increasing the number of beneficiaries by 205%.

Additionally, he has established a College of Health Technology, approved the acquisition of medical equipment for hospitals, and provided free healthcare for pregnant women and children under five.

Thanks to the governor’s peace initiative, Delta State is now 100% peaceful and investor-friendly.

His commitment to transparency, accountability, and good governance has made him a role model for other governors.” he said
