Two-time national Super Middleweight boxing champion, Prince Bob Alagoro, 66, has declared his intention to stage a comeback to the ring, 23 years after retirement.

In an interview with Sports Vanguard during the week, Alagoro who hung his glove after reclaiming his national title via an 11th Round knockout of Bamidele Disu in 2000, said he was ready and highly motivated to take up any opponent thrown at him in the fight billed for October, 2024.

He said his decision to fight again is anchored on the moral lesson it holds, particularly to the youths who are in want of what to do.

Said he, “My decision to take up this fight is to tell the younger ones that if at 66, I can still enter the ring and fight, what are they (the youths) doing? I want to be a source of inspiration for the younger ones. ”

The fight, according to him, was being put together by popular Nigeria boxer, Bash Ali, who has been his benefactor since he retired from active boxing.

Asked about his likely opponent, Prince Alagoro he was yet to know his opponent but did not care about who would be thrown up at him. “
