Recall that President Tinubu slipped on Wednesday, June 12 during the ceremonies marking this year’s Democracy Day at the Eagle Square.

Reacting to how the President quickly regained his composure, the ex-pugilist, Oboh, said not all leaders can overcome such painful stress.

His words: “To be realistic, I am very proud of President Bola Tinubu’s response to the fall.

“The Yoruba word Mr President used is ‘Dobale to democracy’. This can be interpreted as ‘bowing down for democracy’.

“We must not forget a lot of people died for us to be enjoying this democracy.”

The ex-boxing champ, Peter Oboh also expressed his sentiments on the high inflation issues leading the Organised Labour agitations.

He said: “For things to get better in the country, I think fuel subsidy should be restored back.

“One truth many Nigerians don’t know is that President Tinubu inherited the fuel subsidy removal policy.

“He did not make it. And since there was no provision for subsidy, he had to implement the removal.”
