The Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Center (NPF-NCCC) and the National Crime Agency (NCA) of United Kingdom are to collaborate in tackling emerging and latest cybercrime trends in the world.

This partnership was consummated when the Director NPF-NCCC, Commissioner of Police (CP) Ifeanyi Henry Uche, who doubles as Chairman INTERPOL Africa Working Group on Cybercrime, led a technical team on a working visit to the National Crime Agency headquarters in London.

According to the Centre, “this important meeting focused on enhancing international inter-agency cooperation, facilitating seamless communication, and training of officers on combating latest cybercrime trends”.

“The discussions underscored the critical need for robust collaboration and information sharing between the two agencies to effectively combat the evolving landscape of cyber and cyber-enabled crime”.

“Both parties emphasized the importance of continuous training and the exchange of innovative strategies to stay ahead of cyber threats”.

“The visit marks a pivotal step in strengthening the relationship between the Nigeria Police Force and the National Crime agency.

“It paves the way for more robust joint operations, information sharing, knowledge exchange, proactive prevention of cybercrime and protection of victims.

“The collaboration aims to improve a seamless working relationship between both agencies.”
