High Chief Dr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo has expressed shock and dismay over the death of Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, former Minster of State for Education and former Governorship Candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP in the 2023 general elections in Delta State.

Tompolo spoke through his Media Consultant Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, during a condolence visit to the Gbagi family at Oginibu, Ughelli South LGA.

He said that the death of the business mogul was sudden and untimely, as he had good intentions in developing Delta State in particular and Nigeria in general.

According to Tompolo, the deceased was a good man who always sought the interest of others above his interest.

He stated, “He was strict and a disciplinarian but was misunderstood by a section of the society. He came, saw, and left quietly.

Indeed, God gave and it was God that allowed him to go and rest at this time. We will surely miss him,” he added.

Tompolo further told the family members to take solace on the ground that, their father, brother and grandfather, was able to do his best for God and mankind before his death.

Responding, one of Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi’s sons, Egba Gbagi who spoke on behalf of the family members, thanked Tompolo for finding time to visit the family in their trying time.

The family promised to inform him (Tompolo) when the date of the burial ceremony is fixed.
