Looks that stunned audience at the AMVCA show

For anyone who was privileged to grace the 10th edition of the prestigious Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award, AMVCA, one unforgettable thing was the gorgeous looks of the stars on the red-carpet.

The ceremony, held at the Convention Centre of Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos,  Saturday night was one of a kind, surpassing the previous editions in terms of packaging and attendance.

The stars trooped out en-messe to be part of their show, walking the red carpet with gaiety. From Richard Mofe Damijo to Chidi Mokeme, Juliet Ibrahim,Osas Ighodaro, Nana Akua Addo, Uche Montana, Chioma Ikokwu, IK Ogbonna, Omawunmi Dada, Kehinde Bankole, Wale Ojo among others, there was no holding back when it came to Nollywood glamour.

As expected, the stars dialed up the glamour. While actress Omawunmi Dada went for a dazzling black cocktail gown, Juliet Ibrahim turned heads in a golden mermaid bridal gown that flaunted her curves on the red carpet.

Also, making a bold statement on the red carpet, was popular media girl, Toke Makinwa who returned as its host in a gorgeous ensemble from Veekee James. She set everything on fire with her open-chest outfit.

It was an incredible look, like Ghanaian actress, Nana Akua Addo, who wore a statement in an Endless Echo Hat and well-sculpted 3D dress from Yartel Ghana. Beautiful Chioma Ikokwu kept up the Met Gala 2024 “The Garden of Time” theme in a Weiz Dhurm Franklyn masterpiece tagged “The Vine”, while Tomike Adeoye looked out of this world in a glamorous silver jumpsuit by Veekee James. The outfit was made with a silver corset top and attached to a dazzling trouser that flaunted her hips, making the beauty the cynosure of attraction on the night.

But it was the legendary actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, RMD, who was nominated in the Best Actor category, but lost the award to Wale Ojo for his role in ‘ ‘Breath of Life’ that stole the show in his cultural attire on the theme as ‘African Royalty.’ From all indications, the evening lived up its billing.

The award show was held at a time Nigerians were experiencing serious economic hardship, and the stars came out in some unforgettable looks that lifted the spirit of the audience and satisfied their hunger for some glamour and dazzle in the face of despair.
