Former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, and elder statesman, Pa Edwin Clark, are among dignitaries expected at the night of tribute for late Cairo Ojougboh.
The ceremony will hold April 14.
According to a statement, on Tuesday, by former Borno State governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, Ojougboh will be remembered as a patriotic Nigerian and a great family man.
Ojougboh was a former member of the House of Representatives for Ika Federal Constituency, Delta State, and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Death
He died while watching the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, 2024 semi-final encounter between Nigeria and South Africa. He was 64 years old when he died.
According to the statement by Sheriff, Ojougboh “was never too busy for family. He taught us to live, love deeply and cherish relationships.
“Ojougboh was an accomplished politician and a philanthropist.
“The night of tributes will hold in Abuja on Sunday, April 14 , 2024 at 4 p.m., at The Class Event Centre, Plot 102, Kashim Ibrahim Way, Maitama, Abuja.
“Other special guests expected are governors of the South South region, party leaders from both the PDP and APC, among others.”
