Nigerian musical artiste and musicologist, Kolawole Ojeleke Olayinka popularly known as Zion Century, is poised for a groundbreaking year in his music career, building upon the significant milestones of 2023.
Zion who boasts of a successful stint on the international stage including an appearance at Gambia’s premier music event and the release of his hit single “Blessings,” is set to scale new heights.
Revealing this in a chat with the media, Zion said since his return to Nigeria in 2012, he has been a trailblazer in the music industry, establishing Zion Century Records and setting the stage for his remarkable journey.
Recall that his inaugural single “Overload,” featuring Jaykey and Ichaba, marked his entry into the spotlight, following years of experience running a recording studio in Cape Town, South Africa.
The musician noted that drawing from his extensive network and collaborations with notable acts like Zlatan Ibile, Wale Turner, Dremo, and Ichaba, that he is poised to redefine success in 2024.
“My latest venture includes the launch of a new record label, aimed at nurturing emerging talents hungry for a breakthrough,” he said.
“In 2024, I am committed to creating opportunities for budding artists seeking the right platform to thrive.
“Our new record label will provide the essential structure and resources needed to propel their music careers forward,” added Zion.
Additionally, Zion Century’s ambitions extend beyond the borders of Nigeria. “I am excited to showcase my music in key international markets, including the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, France, and the Netherlands,” he shared, underscoring his global aspirations for the year ahead.
With his multifaceted background as a musician, musicologist, producer, and label owner, Zion Century is primed to captivate audiences worldwide. As the music industry eagerly awaits his next moves, he noted that his dedication to fostering talent and delivering exceptional performances promises an extraordinary musical journey in 2024.
