Air Peace didn’t abandon passengers at Owerri airport – Source

Air Peace

Following viral online reports alleging that Air Peace airline had abandoned some of its passengers at the Owerri Airport without due process or cancellation of the flight, a source close to the airline has come forward to debunk the allegation as mere falsehood being peddled by those it described as malicious and mischief makers.

An airport operations staff who demanded anonymity said that it was a total falsehood and that the passenger in question, a male, came late to the check-in counter when boarding was already completed.

“It is not true Air Peace sacrificed passengers for Dana and United Nigeria passengers as it is being alleged. What is at play is a pure attempt to malign Air Peace, an airline that has continued to do its very best, against all the odds, to ensure customer satisfaction.

“The truth of the matter is that the man came late to the airport when check-in had already closed. The flight left exactly on time at 12.20 pm”

The report claimed that an Air Peace customer and some other booked commuters were left stranded at Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport in Imo State because of ongoing ticket racketeering.

The report alleged that the said passenger was supposed to fly from Owerri in Imo to Lagos on Sunday afternoon.
