Notable leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Akoko South-West area of Ondo State, have endorsed the governorship ambition of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Rising from a stakeholders meeting, held at Oka Akoko town hall, at the weekend, the leaders declared their “unwavering support for the governor and urged him to contest and lead the people of Ondo State again beyond 2024.”

The spokesperson of the APC in the area, Mr Olugbenga Omole, said that the meeting was attended by representatives of the Asiwaju of Akoko, Prof. Ajayi Boroffice; Mr Ade Adeogun, Mr Victor Olabimtan,  Victor Ategbole, Tolu Babaleye, Mr Felix Alonge,  Sehinde Mise and Mr Johnson Alabi.

Omole assured the people of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s Midas touches and democratic deliverables urging “members of the party to be wary of the antics of saboteurs and deceitful elements in the party as the state goes into an election this year.”

He said: “Party members in Akoko South West profusely appreciated the governor for appointing three of their illustrious sons into various positions so far and like Oliver Twist, they asked for more.

“The party members across the 15 wards of Akoko South West, adjudged the governor as a worthy example of who a leader should be.”

He, however, commended Governor Aiyedatiwa’s positive judgement and discretion in piloting the affairs of the state, since the demise of his boss, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu.
