Also, Ummi the co-wife further told the court that Rahmat always insulted her, and called her son a bastard.

The complainant said that she had reported Rahmat’s attitude to the Dakwa Police Station in the past. But she said she got no positive response.

”I even sought the intervention of the Chief of Dakwa community but to no avail.

”So this time, Rahmat conspired with her two daughters and sister to beat me up, and inflict injuries on me.

”They stripped me naked, beat me up and inflicted injuries on my body,” the co-wife said.

However, the defendants pleaded not guilty to the allegations.

Responding, the judge, Mohammed Mustapha, transferred the matter to Kubwa Police Station for investigation. (NAN)
