The Baba Adini of Lagos, Sheikh Abdul Hafeez Abou Nolla is dead.

He was aged 101.

It was gathered that Abou Nolla, a renowned Islamic scholar and one of the topmost Islamic clerics in Nigeria, reportedly died on Tuesday, 9 January 2024.

As of press time, the cause of death could not be ascertained.

He was said to be ill briefly, due to old age-related health issues.

The remains will be buried on Wednesday, 10 January 2024 after a janazah prayer which is expected to take place at the Lagos Central Mosque, Lagos Island.
