Insecurity: IGP, security agents urged to rescue Olalekan Olawoye from Kidnappers

The family of Olalekan Olawoye is desperately seeking assistance in locating their loved one, who was kidnapped on October 5, 2023, along Ifon Ute Road in Ose Local Government of Ondo State.

His brother, Gbenga Olawoye, spoke to reporters at his Akure residence, expressing the immense hardship and suffering the family has endured since Olalekan’s disappearance.

Gbenga revealed that the kidnappers initially demanded a ransom, threatening to harm Olalekan if their demands weren’t met. However, communication ceased after the initial contact, leaving the family in the dark about Olalekan’s whereabouts.

The situation has taken a severe toll on Olalekan’s wife and children, who are living in fear and uncertainty without their breadwinner. The family has sought help from various prayer mountains, churches, and traditional homes, but to no avail.

Despite reporting the incident to the police, there have been no updates on Olalekan’s location. Gbenga Olawoye is now urging the Nigeria Police, State Security Services, and Civil Defence Corps to intervene and rescue his brother, emphasizing the family’s helplessness in the face of this ongoing ordeal.

This case highlights the growing concern about insecurity in Nigeria, where kidnappings and ransom demands have become increasingly common. The Olawoye family’s experience is a heartbreaking reminder of the devastating impact of these crimes on families and communities.
