Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has promised to make life much more better for Nigerians, noting that peace and prosperity will reign again in Nigeria if he is elected president in 2023.
The presidential hopeful under the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, gave the assurance while canvassing for votes from Katsina delegates ahead of the forthcoming presidential primaries.
Udom said: “Katsina under PDP has always been a very peaceful and a progressive State. I assure you that what you didn’t get with the present government, you will get when I become president. I will restore security back to Katsina and restore the nation’s lost glory. We will restore everything that was lost.
“We are on a rescue mission and I assure you that all those things you use to enjoy that you are not enjoying now you will begin to enjoy them again. So just vote for Udom Emmanuel. We will make sure that the economy is restored and life becomes much more better than now.”
Earlier, the former Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Sesuwam who is the Director General, Emmanuel Udom Campaign said just like the late President of Nigeria, Umaru Musa Yar’adua, Governor Udom is mindful of the Nigerian poor people and the security situation in the country and will ensure that poverty is defeated.
Also speaking at the event, former military Governor of Niger and Plateau State, Col. Habibu Shaibu said, Governor Udom’s achievements in the industrial, aviation and security sectors in Akwa Ibom state speaks for him, noting that the presidential aspirant has what it takes to revamp the country and make it a true giant among committee of nations.
Col. Habibu said: “We are here with a presidential aspirant who is sweeter than honey. He is a leader who has done it and we saw what he did in Akwa Ibom. He is an energetic youth who has done so much and has brought complete security to Akwa Ibom State.
“I am sure you are aware that in the whole of the country, there is no other state, not even the federal government can boast of an airline but only Akwa Ibom State.”
“Despite all these achievements, Governor Udom is not relenting. He keeps striving hard particularly to see how Nigeria can become a global giant to reckon with.”
