A Frontline Governorship aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Cross River state, Sir Arthur Jarvis Archibong has debunked rumour making the rounds in some sections of the media that he has stepped down from the race.

This is coming minutes into the Party’s gubernatorial primaries that is about to commence at the Venetian Arena along Muritala Mohammed Highway, Calabar.

Recall that Vanguard had earlier reported that the exercise which was scheduled for Wednesday was yet to commence although delegates from the 18 LGAs are almost seated and voting may soon commence but news filtered that 4 Guber aspirants have withdrawn from the race .

Checks by Vanguard however showed that Sir Arthur Jarvis Archibong , founder and Chancellor, Arthur Jarvis University and a Guber aspirant was very much in the race.

Speaking with Vanguard his, the Director-General of his Campaign organization, Engr Edwin Bassey said the report were not only fake but unfounded and from the pit of hell .

He added that they were ready from inception and will see the race to a reasonable conclusion.

Others who Vanguard learned have debunked the purported withdrawal includes, Hon Nkoyo Toyo , Engr Coco Bassey and Former Deputy Governor, Mr Effiok Cobham

As at the time of filing this report, the Electoral Panel led by Barr. Babajide Coker and the PDP Chairman, Venatius Ikem Esq have put every logistics in place for the exercise as the remaining delegates are being ushered to their various seats inside the hall.

Guber aspirant sighted by Vanguard at the Venue include , Sir Arthur Jarvis Archibong, Sen. Sandy Onor , Ima Nsa Adegoke , Princess Filia Henshaw , Hon. Nkoyo Toyo .
