By Moses Nosike

Concerned by the numerous talents embedded in Nigerian youths waiting for discovering and as well harnessing it for self-reliant, growth and development, the management of Starz Crib Reality TV Show has revealed that the show was a platform to discover youth talents, teach them how to nurture it to maturity level and for self benefit and job creation.

“We also see that this will help in reducing crime, unemployment among our youths.

The runner ups got compensation. We advise youths should not give up on their talents because they don’t know the level where their talent can take them to”.

In addition, winner of the 2021 Starz Crib Reality TV Show, Season One, Chibueze David Alele, aka Nicky narrating his experience in the course of the programme said that he friend who happened to win a TV Reality Show, motivated him and he told him to notify him in case such opportunity occurs again.

“Good a thing, when Crib Reality TV Show advert appeared on a social media and I got to know it, I said to myself, this is the opportunity you are looking. So I applied and I was one of the young people that was qualified for the show. In the house we were 27 in number until it ended with three of us which I’m the winner”.

Alele said in a media chart that he is into many things especially anything that has to do with entertainment. “I’m a footballer, a dancer, singer and I act.

According to him, it was not really easy for me meeting with people from different backgrounds, character coming together for a programme. “It was not easy for me because I’m a kind of person that doesn’t like noise and I don’t like somebody ordering me around. There in the house, the head of house ordering me to do what I don’t normally do. We were taught how to be obedient, accommodating. I learnt that the way to success is very narrow, and only those that are stronger will survive.  I learnt how to be patience and also to control my temper. It was a mental and brain work, though not easy, but  if you think rightly you will get it. So, what helped me is that I believe if one person can do it, I can do it as well.

I’m happy today that at the end of it I emerged the winner of Crib Reality TV Show season one with an Acura car and ten thousand dollar worth of deals.

For the organisers they have really impacted much on me. My way of doing things now will change for better”.

First Runner Up, Philip Kwaghfan aka Pheelz said, “It was a hectic but competitive. It was not easy, there were different talents in the house, different people, different tasks to carry out, especially the voting where you have to rely on your fans, you have to convince them to vote for you. I really learnt a lot from the house”.

On what motivated him to apply for the show, Philip said, “I saw it as a platform for me to display, showcase my talent, and my parents supported me, even when I thought it was something that is not serious, they encouraged me and said anything  good can happen at any time, go for it.

I’m a final year student, Theatre Art Department, Benue State University. I’m dancer, musician and I teach. I got to know the programme through my friend Jay who say the flyer online and informed me. He went ahead to register me and from there I followed it up.

I never expected to emerge as the first runner up right from day one even till the final day. But I relied on God when names that dropping and it remained three of us. I was happy that I made it to the top three. And when they removed the second person, I now thought I was going to win but I ended up the first runner up. With this position I intend to explore more to let people know that Starz Crib Reality TV Show is a platform where anybody can go and display, and you can get sponsorship and help to work on your talent. When I get back to my base, I will thank my fans and advise them to try it too.

Among other things I learnt from this show is that you don’t have a permanent friend or permanent enemy. Just play along and smart, do what you know you supposed to do, and what you are doing, do it well. During the show I did what I normally don’t do, like acting and others, and I got to love it. This is my first time to participate in TV Reality Show. If I see other bigger shows if I can I will join. I thank the organisers of Starz Crib Reality TV Show”.

NelsonTamunomiebi Progress, aka Don Lucious Lyon:I’m from Rivers state.

A friend of mine posted the advert on a social media, I saw it and applied.  After the process I was among those qualified, that was how I came to participate in Starz Crib Reality TV Show. I’m a presenter, actor, I do show planning, event planning. In addition, I operate entertainment house and I own modelling agency. I was in LASPOTECH when I had financial challenges then I pulled out and went into entertainment full time.

I saw future in the show and it is something that can help me more in my entertainment business. With my talent I saw the programme as an opportunity to showcase to the world what I have been doing. And I know I’m good in what I’m doing because through my talent I had been engaged in some activities. So I saw this as a better platform to advance what I’m doing already. It was a wonderful programme and I have learnt a lot. We were taught how to control anger, be patience in life. On the training, I was taught how to deliver within the stipulated time. Trained to be time conscious and at the same time giving your best at a tensed situation. It was mind blowing, not too difficult but you have to think fast to provide your answers. It was a brain and mental task, and I have improved.

My experience from the show is that you have to believe in yourself, believe in what you have and pursue it to achieve your purpose in life. Don’t allow anything to stop you, keep pushing till you get to the height you want. Don’t give up, there is opportunity at every point in life, just be ready and grap it when it comes. The knowledge I got from the show will help advance my entertainment business and other things I’m doing. There are new things I going to add to my business with my talent being shaped.

Another aspect of the training that will help me was the area of managing your fellow human being. We came into the house from different background, different people and different character. We were 27 in number, but three emerged winners”.
