Chairman of the Warri South Council Area of Delta State, Dr Michael Tidi, has appealed to residents of the area to exercise extra caution as four out of the five Covid-19 cases recorded in the state on Wednesday were from the council area.
He warned residents not to doubt or joke with the COVID – 19 Pandemic, insisting that the reality of the virus demands extra vigilance by everyone.

Dr. Tidi, made the appeal in a statement while reacting to reports that the Delta State Government Wednesday confirmed five new Coronavirus positive cases in the state, with four in Warri South Council Area.
He said that as the commercial and industrial nerve centre of the state, Warri is visited daily by different shades of people for sundry reasons, including medical purpose, hence the need for people living in Warri South to give the COVID – 19 fight the seriousness it deserves.
Tidi, stressed the need for practising Coronavirus preventive measures such as personal hygiene, compulsory use of clean face masks, continuous washing of hands with soap and running water, application of hand sanitizers, maintaining social/ physical distancing as well as eating food that boosts the body immunity.
