Excerpts;

How would you describe yourself as a musician?
I am Chime Tsnare a multi-talented R&B/DanceHall artist and producer with guitar and piano as my lead instruments

How the the name Chime Tsnare came to be?
Chime is the short form of my name Chimeleadhu while Tsnare was derived from the name of my company/studio called Thunder Snare. Thunder Snare is a name I use to represent the word impact due to the kind of impact I create with my sound. It is just like when you hear the sound of Thunder and lightning, and because of the similarity between the sound lightning and the sound of the snare drum, I decided to use the word snare in place of lightning to make it relate directly to the music as a music brand that I am.

Why do you prefer guitar and piano as your lead instruments?
Amongst all musical instruments, the Piano was the first instrument that drew my attention since my tender age; this prompted me to start learning how to play it. I got more attached to it, when I discovered I could use it to make demo beats for songs and use the beats to perform on Fridays and Sunday fellowships. I later got so much interested in the guitar as my love for Spanish sounds grew and the guitar was that one instrument I could use to play those Spanish tones. I love them so much like the ones in the desperadoes.

Can you tell us how you ended up doing music?
Right from my tender age, I used to be a kid with a lot of abilities/talents in things like engineering, technology and music, but amongst all my talents, music was that one thing that when I do even without applying so much efforts people just tend to love it so much. This encouraged me to keep doing it, even when I tried to stop I see a lot of people requesting for me to keep giving them good music, so based on the huge impact i saw in the songs I sing, I was making and the requests I was getting. I was convinced that music is the tool I could use as a starting point amongst all my abilities to make some positive impacts to humanity.

What other things do you do in your spare time apart from music?
I love technology. I like innovations so I spent my extra in research in trying to create solutions for problems using technology since technology is also one of my special abilities.

What are your plans for the rest of the year?
Make more music, reach out to more audience with my songs and performing for my fans on shows.

So far what are your big lessons as a musician?
Music has taught me a lot of things but amongst all, music has taught me patience.

Who are your favourite artistes and who amongst them would you like to have a collaboration with?
Wyclef Jean, Lorine hills, Bob Marley, Bobz II Men, Eminem, Tuface/2baba, Simi, Asa, Wizkid, Timaya, Duncan Mighty, Adekunle Gold, and many other Nigerian artists

What are the challenges you encounter as an R&B artiste in a clime dominated by Afrobeat?
I started music with Rnb, Hiphop and Reggae but as time evolved and with the rise of Afro beat in Nigeria I began to develop some Afro fills. Now My music is a mixture of R&B, Dance Hall Raga and Afrobeat and it has going smoothly ever since.

What were the early hurdles you had to overcome in your music career?
For me what I needed was that big platform that has the ability to showcase my talent to the rest of the world. Sadly, I didn’t have that at the beginning but because of the love and believe I have in my talent, I kept pushing until I got to this stage were a lot of big platforms are now showing what I do.

What has been your most memorable moment thus far as a musician?
The first time I sang in front of the crowd in secondary school and the tremendous reaction I got from the crowd; they screamed so much appreciating the sound that was coming from me. It was hilarious and surprising for me as I never expected that kind of reaction form the crowd as it was my first time singing in front of a crowd.
