Nigerian singing sensation, Simi, has shared her thoughts on the recent spate of depression among entertainers and according to her, the struggle to keep up and the fear of failure among other things are a major factor responsible for the mental trauma.
During a question and answer session with fans, the ‘Omo Charlie’ crooner was asked what she thought about the wave of depression in recent times and she simply described the situation as “scary and sad”, adding that people need to open up and seek for help when they get overwhelmed.

A fan asked; “What’s your thought on the wave of depression in recent days and Simi replied; “It’s scary and sad especially for young men. The struggle to keep up, the fear of failure and the desperate desire for validation are very scary. I hope that we can let people know it is okay to share and lean on someone when things get too heavy.”
