IBADAN—ALMOST four weeks after the murder of a member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Temitope Olatoye, aka Sugar, who represented Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency, the Oyo State Police Command has said the case is now being “handled by the higher authority.”

Though, it was not specific where the case was taken to, Vanguard gathered that case has been transferred to the force headquarters at Abuja.

The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Shina Olukolu disclosed this while parading a number of suspects at the State Police headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan yesterday.

When asked if there was any update on the death of the lawmaker, he said: “Investigation is ongoing. The matter is being handled by the higher authority and the command is still working on the available information. Information was given to us two days ago and we are currently working on it.”

He, however, vowed that wherever the killers are, the command will get them.

“No matter how long the case may take, the perpetrators of the evil will be made to face the wrath of the law”, he vowed.
