Ogwu charges Delta govt on abandoned Poly in Aboh

ABOH—The president general of Aboh Development Union, ADU, Ajie Ogwu has called on the Delta State Government to look into the issue of the abandoned polytechnic in Aboh, headquarters of Ndokwa East local government area.

Ogwu made this call recently during the installation ceremony of the new Iyasele (traditional prime minister), High Chief Charles Ifeanyi Odili, a retired civil servant.

The president general of the community said the opening of the polytechnic will show that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has the interest of Ndokwa East people at heart and as part of the technical education revolution of the government.

He also called on the government to complete the failed portions of the Ashaka/Aboh road so as to make the road motorable in all seasons.

Ogwu stated that the Aboh people will appreciate if all the abandoned projects in the Ndokwa East local government headquarters are completed.

He charged the new Iyasale to co-operate with the Aboh monarch so as to attract more developmental projects to the town, adding that all sons and daughters of the kingdom should see it as duty to contribute their quota to the development of the town.

Speaking earlier, the Iyasele promised to do his best in ensuring peace and prosperity of the kingdom.
