To commemorate this year’s International Day for the Street Child, the Ikorodu branch of the National Association of Seadogs, NAS, visited the Child Lifeline Centre at igbese, Ikorodu, Lagos State to celebrate with the children.
The international day for the street child is celebrated on the 12th of April every year.
NAS, visits Child Lifeline Centre at igbese
The first Vice President of the Ikorodu chapter of NAS, Mr. Beredugo Ekiprebo, while presenting various gifts to the children on behalf of the organisation, thanked the management of the Child Lifeline Centre for its efforts on the children and for the granting the association (NAS) permission to offer its widow’s mite to the needy children.
Over the years, the National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) has partnered with the Centre to impact the lives of the children at the centre.
Speaking at the event, the Second Vice President of the Ikorodu chapter, Mr. Solomon Bello admonished the boys to be focused on their dreams and stay away from crime and other social vices.

Also, the Welfare Officer of the chapter, Mr. Ikape Solomon Oga, enjoined the boys to be determined and work hard at achieving their goals in life. He told them that their origins does not determine the level they can get to in life as long as they work hard at achieving their dreams.
Reacting, the management of the centre thanked the association for taking out time to identify with the centre aid its resolve to rid the streets of children.
