It was all glitz and glamour at the wrapping up of the Lagos National Youth Service Corp orientation camp when the popular hair brand and a subsidiary of Lucky Fibres Limited, Lush Hair, dazzled the corp members by sponsoring of one of the best social activities on camp “Miss Bold and Beautiful”.

The Big Bold and Beautiful contest is a competition amongst the plus sized ladies at the orientation camp where representative of each platoon emanating from different states across the nation gets to exhibit both beauty and brains in order to emerge as the overall winner for the year/ batch.
After scaling through the series of set criteria such as confidence level, composure, current affairs question and answer, Miss. Jackie Ibiso from Rivers State, representing platoon 1, emerged the overall winner of the beauty contest from among the nine beautiful contestants.
According to the Brand Manager, Lush Hair, Sukhum Pannu, who talked about the rationale behind the decision to sponsor the contest: “Miss Bold and Beautiful contest is a very special activity here on camp that encourages women to always stay beautiful, confident and always on top of their game irrespective of their background, societal status or body size, which is exactly what the brand largely stands for.

As part of the prizes presented to contestants, the overall winner will equally enjoy the opportunity to free hair makeover for three months.
The Camp Coordinator, 2019 Lagos State National Youth Service Corp, Prince Mohammed Momoh, who presented the overall winner of the Miss NYSC Big Bold and Beautiful contest with the star-prize, commended the Lush Hair brand for the social engagement and the initiative to make the camp orientation phase a memorable experience for the corp members, especially the ladies through the sponsorship of the pageant.

The Winner, 2019 Miss Bold and Beautiful, Lagos NYSC (Batch 1), Miss. Jackie Ibiso, expressed her exhilaration having emerged as the winner “it is such an honour to have come tops amongst the rest of the equally beautiful ladies. This contest has also helped to further boost my sense of confidence; I must thank the Lush Hair brand for presenting such opportunity in an interesting way,” she said.
