This is one of the doctrines of Christ. And all doctrines of Christ, are not His doct-rines, but the doctrines of God, His Father, that sent Him into the world. (John 7:16.).

Therefore, whoso-ever transgresses and abid-es not in the doctrines of Christ, has not God. But whosoever abides in the doctrines of Christ, has both the Father and the Son. (II John 9).

Obedience to this parti-cular doctrine will deliver believers in Christ from striving with unbelievers, over the burial of their dead loved ones.

It is also in conformity with the doct-rine of separation, comm-anded by the Almighty God, which teaches that believers in Christ, born of His Spirit, should not be unequally yoked with un-believers, in all their un-godly deeds and in all their worldly ceremonies. (II Corinthians 6:14-18.) In this case, in their ungodly and worldly burial ceremonies, which are characterized by drinking, eating and dancing, which is Necro-latry, against which the Spirit of God warns all be-lievers in Christ in I Cor-inthians 10:7. Necrolatry is that branch of Idolatry that gives sentimental rev-erence to the dead.

And the food prepared and eaten at any burial ceremony, is food sacrificed to demons and this incurs the anger of God, as writt-en in Psalm 106:28-29: “They joined themselves also unto Baal-peor (a demon god) and ate the sacrifices of the dead. Thus they provoked him to anger with their inventions, and the plague brake in upon them.” In I Corinthians 10:20-22, it is clearly writt-en, that the things which the Gentiles (unbelievers) sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils and not to God, and believers in Christ are warned not to have fellow-ship with devils, by eating the sacrifices of the dead.

The worldly burial cere-monies organized by the “dead” for their dead loved ones, is a transgression of the doctrine of Christ and of God, which teaches sim-plicity and soberness in everything that Christians do! The simplicity in bur-ial, was demonstrated by Joseph of Arimathea, a rich man, and a secret dis-ciple of Jesus, who buried Jesus, in accordance with this doctrine of simplicity. (Matthew 27:57-60).

It was also demonstrated in the burial of John the Baptist. (Mark 6:29.) As written in Psalm 116:15, the death of the saints of God, is precious in the sight of God, and so, their burial must be in con-formity with the burial of Jesus. The burial of Moses, by God, also testifies to this doctrine of simplicity in burial. (Deuteronomy 34:5-6). And actually, to bury, by dictionary definition is simply to put into the ground and then to cover, which was exactly what God did in the burial of Moses.

Is every marriage ordained by God?

But the worldly and car-nal believers in Christ can-not endure this sound doct-rine of “Let the dead bury their dead” hence they will always get themselves ent-angled with the ungodly and worldly burial cere-monies organized by un-believers. This will lead them into hell, if no repent-ance, before their own death. (Isaiah 5:12-14.) What then shall it profit these believers in Christ, if, after they have buried the-ir dead loved ones, accord-ing to the fashion of the world, they also, in the end, lose their souls in hell? The burial of any dead loved one, is not a time of feasting or mirth, rather, it is a time of mourning, but as it is written in Ecclesiastes 7:4, the heart of fools is in the house of mirth, while the heart of the wise is in the house of mourning. And, as it is written in Eccl-esiastes 7:2, it is better to go to the house of mourn-ing, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to heart. In Matthew 8:21, one of the disciples of Jesus said unto Him: “Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. Jesus said unto him in Matthew 8:22: “Follow me: and let the dead bury their dead.”

The Spiritually dead will always bury their dead loved ones in a manner, that exhibit pride of life, which is not of god, but of the world. (I John 2:16).
