In a bid to further project the prospect of indigenous Nigerian music, fast rising record label, Fierce Nation has signed their first two acts, Runnjozzy and Laycon.

Runnjozzy (real name Joshua Dasabah Peremobowei) is 19-year-old Afro Pop singer and song writers who hails from Bayelsa State but born and bred in Lagos, Nigeria. After releasing “Sara” in 2018, he got signed to his current label (Fierce Nation) after catching the eye and ears of the boss with his unique sound and amazing talent, getting a bumper deal in January 2019 to be one of Nigeria’s next level music stars.
With his recent single ‘Folashade’, Runnjozzy is musically influenced by Davido and hopes that one day, he would get to work with him, having already performed impressively to a multitude at the sold-out DMW Industry Nite and a couple of music festivals in Nigeria.

While Laycon (Agbeleshebioba Massoud Al Khalifah) on the other hand is a Lagos born and bred Hip-hop/Rap artiste who has graced the stage of several events with his strong, energetic performances. One of the ten artists chosen to perform for Unilag at the 2014 Coke Studio Unilag event and a top ten finalists of the 2017 MTV Base LSB challenge amongst others.
Currently gearing to release his first official single with Fierce label titled ‘Any given Monday’ which featured Chinko Ekun & Reminisce; Laycon has a very varied and distinct taste in music that translate to his art. His musical influences include artistes like Nina Simone, Jay z, James Brown, Andre 3000, Michael Jackson, King Sunny Ade, Ebenezer Obey, Yussuf Olatunji, Nneka, Gino and IK Dairo.
Founded by Jackson Fierce, the new label focuses on investing in indigenous Nigerian music and the arts and the talented individuals that create it.
