Ndomaegba heads to tribunal over loss of Senate seat

CALABAR— FORMER Senate Leader, Senator Victor Ndomaegba, has filed a petition at the Cross River State Election Tribunal, challenging the declaration of his opponent, Professor Sandy Onor of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as the elected Senator for the central senatorial district of Cross River State.

Senator Ndomaegba and 11 other candidates who lost the elections filed their petitions challenging the outcome, claiming that the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, colluded with PDP to deny them victory in the elections in Cross River.

Secondus calls for transparent supplementary elections

Mrs Josephine Ekpereobe, Secretary of the Tribunal told Vanguard that 12 petitions had been received over the outcome of the National Assembly election in the state.

Others are Solomon Esor of Social Democratic Party, SDP, also  against Onor’s victory; Egbe Abeng of APC against Michael Etaba of PDP, and Victor Abang of APC against Chris Agibe of PDP.

Other s are Senator Bassey Otu of APC against Senator Gershom Bassey of PDP, Jude Ngaji of APC against Jarigbe Agom of APC, Akiba Bassey of APC versus Eta Mbora of PDP, Wabily Nyiam of APC against Rose Oko of PDP.

The only petition from PDP is that of Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, John Lebo, against Alex Egbona of APC for the Yakkur/ Abi federal constituency.
