She disclosed this recently in a chat with Vanguard while speaking on her upcoming chieftancy title to be conferred on her on May 1 by Oba Lateef Olayinka Ado of Ado Kingdom, Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos.

Omosefe-Ajayi who was conferred with the title of Yeye Oge of Oke Ogbere by the Osolo of Isolo in Isolo Kingdom in December 2018, will be receiving another chieftaincy title in respect to her service and commitment to the development and growth of the community and Nigeria at large.

In a statement made available to Vanguard, Omosefe-Ajayi revealed that her selection was in recognition of her incorruptible approach and conduct in public service, corporate governance,  coupled with selfless service and brilliant performances and impacting positively, the socio-economic development of the community.

According to her, a letter made available in respect of the conferment from the palace of Oba Lateef Olayinka Ado of Ado Kingdom dated February 7, 2019 and titled: Conferment of Chieftancy title, conveyed the good news of her selection as the Yeye Meso of Ado Kingdom read.

Omosefe-Ajayi is the executive director/chief executive officer of Lagos International Trade Fair Complex, LITFC, and her tenure has witnessed a turn around for good, in the life of the long neglected complex that houses the popular ASPANDA market and for years, played host to the yearly Lagos International Trade Fair exhibition.

“Omosefe-Ajayi’s tenure has brought back sanity to the complex as all the green areas in the complex premises have been reclaimed from the itinerant street hawkers/area boys, the administrative block of the complex undergoing renovation while contract for the rehabilitation of the roads leading into the complex has been awarded.

“Perhaps, the icing on the cake of her achievement within a short space of time, is the fact that she has been able to generate over a billion naira into the federal purse as against the zero naira the People’s Democratic Party government appointed concessionaire contributed for the years it controlled the complex.

Omosefe-Ajayi, however, pledged her commitment to the communal development of the community adding that the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex will be given a new look in President Buhari’s second term.

2019: Ajayi woos market women, others support for Buhari

“I have committed myself to the development of the complex especially the community that is hosting the complex. I will also ensure that all women, businessmen, youths, children and others, are well catered for without any prejudice.

“I think this will encourage women across the divide to join in being active politically as the next level is important. As a public servant, you know what this honour translates to; politically they will be recognised at the federal level, some of the things that we need to do in LITFC will be brought to the fore,” Lucy said.
