“Enugu is the most peaceful state in the country. The REC Mr Emeka Ononamadu is the most friendly REC we have had in Enugu. We have been witnessing the coming and going of RECs in Enugu but this one has been here discharging his duty as is stipulated in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“The REC should not be removed because he has not done anything contrary to the constitution of Nigeria that demands for his removed. The election must go on as scheduled.

“We say no tyrants and their propaganda because it will not stand. The APC should go on with their campaign to convince people to vote for them.” he said.

Chairmen of all the registered political parties in Enugu state except APC was in attendance.
