THE 4+4 Niger Delta Believer’s Council, a pressure group within All Progressives Congress, APC, has said the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari will further develop Niger Delta through his developmental programmes.
National coordinator of the group, Sir Fred Magada, in a statement, yesterday, said the second term of President Buhari as president and Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu as a cabinet member, should be seen as victory for the people of Niger Delta whom he said have been faced with series of under development in the past years.
He said: “We will like to applaud the election of President Buhari and laud the efforts of Kachikwu and other leaders of the party for the votes recorded in Delta State during the presidential election.
“We believe his victory at the polls was made possible because of his integrity, character and leadership qualities during his first term in office.
“I want to also use this medium to assure the people of Niger Delta that if Mr. President could do so much for the people of Niger Delta in his first term, when the people gave him little votes, he would definitely do more in his second term with the number of votes recorded this time.”
