PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting behind closed-doors with Service Chiefs and other heads of security agencies at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting started at about 11 am and its agenda, as usual, was not made public.
As usual, security heads are expected to brief Mr President on the security situation in the country including the recent killings in Kaduna state and the alleged military invasion of some collation centres in the last March 9 governorship and house of assembly elections which has attracted national and international condemnation.
It is expected that all the Service Chiefs; Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olonishakin, Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Yusuf Buratai, Chief of Naval Staff, Ibok-Ete Ibas, and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar, are present.
Also present at the meeting include the National Security Adviser, Major Gen. Babagana Monguno, Director of National Intelligence Agency, NIA, Ahmed Abubakar, the Director General, Department of Security Service, DSS, Yusuf Bichi, and the Acting Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu.
The Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dangazzau and the Minister of Defence, Brigadier Gen. Mansur Dan-Ali are also part of the meeting.
Recall that the security heads met last with the President who is the Commander-in-Chief on March 5 before the governorship and state assembly elections
