APF partners security agencies on billboards vandalism

Ilorin—Advertising practitioners in Kwara State on the platform of Advertising Practitioners Forum, APF, have completed arrangements to partner the security agencies in the state to curb vandalism of billboards and other related materials in the state by miscreants.

Chairman of the forum Mr. Adebowale Adedeji, speaking at the inauguration of its new executives in Ilorin, described as a disturbing “the nefarious activities of thugs and other miscreants who often descend on advertorial materials erected on road facilities, especially during political campaigns.”

Other members of the newly-inaugurated executives of APF are Vice Chairman, Mrs Adigun Medinat; Public Relations Officer, Dr Kehinde Kadiri, while Mrs Alaya Ruqayat is the Financial Secretary.

Adebowale, who identified advertising practitioners on outdoor advertisement as worst hit in the vandalism, said: “Collaboration with security agencies is very cardinal in the next phase of our endeavour.”
