BENEFICIARIES of the second phase of the Presidential Amnesty for ex-militants in the Niger Delta, have congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari on his victory and re-election in the February 23, 2019, Presidential election.
In a statement in Benin City, Edo State, yesterday, by Clement Wodo, Goddy Kaduna Dengo Benin, Olotu Wanemi, Stephen Ebinsite and Kingsley Muturu, they said Buhari’s victory at the poll was as a result of his integrity which has endeared him to Nigerians.
“We urged you to run an all inclusive government as you promised to ensure the unity of the Nigerian people irrespective of creed, tribe or religion,” they stated.
S-South group congratulates Buhari, Sanwo-olu
Meanwhile, the South-South United People Forum, SSUPF, Lagos State chapter has also congratulated President Buhari and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor-elect of Lagos State, on their victories at the just concluded presidential and governorship polls, respectively.
Addressing newsmen in Lagos, chairman of SSUPF, Paul Ogholemu, thanked Nigerians for supporting President Buhari and all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos, to guarantee continuity and completion of all projects that would make life better for Nigerians.
He said: “The group has been following events in the country with keen interest and knows who President Buhari is. We know where he met the country and where the country is now. We have no doubt that he is taking Nigeria to an enviable height.
