Kogi State born Abdul  Isiaka, a member of the Nigeria Bowling contingent to the World Bowling Championship held at Johannesburg, South Africa, was one of the star revelations of the tournament.

Isiaka put up a stunning performance at the 7- country tournament that has the host South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Sierra Loans, Somalia and Tunisia participating. Speaking with Sunday Vanguard via chat, Isiaka, fondly called the ‘KING’, expressed joy for being able to pull support for Team Nigeria during the championship that commenced from March 18 and ended yesterday.

Isiaka said that despite Nigeria’s first ever participation at the Africa Bowling championship, the contingent put up a good performance. He said the Nigerian team was already looking forward to participating at the World Senior Bowling Championship in the US in September.

He likewise expressed optimism that the sport will soon take the centre stage in the array of sports in the country.

Nigeria was represented at the World Bowling Championship, Africa Zone by the Abuja Bowling Club.
