Waziri called on the Federal Government to disburse N91 billion to the political parties,  noting that political parties and candidates had moblised their members and disbursed resources hoping that the election was going to hold only for INEC to postpone it at the 11th hour.

Speaking, yesterday, in Jos, while briefing journalists in the state, he said: “Candidates of political parties most of whom collected loans with interest have suffered great loss and are now in a dilemma.

“Therefore, Federal Government in the spirit of fair play should reimburse all registered political parties with N1 billion each to ensure successful elections. Failure to do so will clearly show that the postponement was made to break the smaller political parties and their candidates.”
