Speaking at a media briefing at the Bodija residence of the leader of the party and former governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, on Monday, the state Chairman of the party, Mr. Wole Abisoye, emphasized that the only recognized candidate for the constituency was Mr. Ajanaku, stressing that he has fulfilled all the conditions and the National Headquarters of the party recognized him.

The National Chairman led other party executive members from Abuja to Ibadan, to present him the party’s flag as the symbol of authority and recognition.

Meanwhile, the party denied the rumour in some quarters that it had formed an alliance with another party, adding that it was unfounded and a fake report.

“Neither the party, nor its leader, Senator Rashidi Ladoja was in merger talk with any political party,” he disclosed.

Abisoye, however, berated the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for issuing a statement stopping candidates from campaigning, a week to the postpon4d polls, saying: “It is unconstitutional to stop campaign now when the law stipulates that campaign must run till 24hours to the elections.’’
