Smart phone makers, OPPO, shared some exciting announcements on the innovation behind its advancements in mobile technologies in 2019 at the ongoing Mobile World congress, saying debuting with 10x lossless zoom technology and industry leading developments in 5G technology, has  cemented its reputation as an innovator in the mobile communications space.

The OPPO brand says it takes inspiration from the amazing possibilities of the everyday environment and in helping people to realise the beauty that is around them. The smartphone maker said it has been driven by consumer feedback, and has been investing heavily in innovation with a huge commitment to R&D. It said this commitment has helped it to develop industry-first innovations time and time again, be it through image beautification technology, 5G, AI, AR/VR or other emerging mobile technologies.

According to OPPO Vice- President, Anyi Jiang: “We’re proud to deliver our first Innovation event for media and partners today. Innovation is our top priority and we have made many recent developments to bring the future into consumer’s hands. We look forward to continuing with this commitment and bringing to market more advances particularly in 5G and photography.

“5G is the future of the smartphone industry, bringing with it endless possibilities for creativity, imagination and closer connectivity. Today, OPPO brought the 5G era closer with the announcement of its first 5G smartphone and the OPPO 5G Landing Project,” he added.

Meanwhile, President of Qualcomm Incorporated, Cristiano Amon, has endorsed OPPO’s commitment to 5G innovation, saying that  “given their leadership in the 4G era, OPPO is well positioned to be a leader in the transition to 5G. We see tremendous opportunities to drive further innovation in the 5G era, and Qualcomm Technologies looks forward to working closely with OPPO to realise the true potential of 5G and support the launch of their first 5G smartphone powered by our flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform with the X50 5G modem, integrated RF transceiver and RF Front-End solutions,” he said.
