For fast rising, Nigerian rap artist based in Cyprus, Iwunor Anslem Chibuzor fondly called Rich Plug his ambition to become a barrister and delve into politics were all shattered with the passing away of his beloved father.
However, Rich Plug is not regretting finding solace in music.
“If it were to be what my plans were and if times could be taken back, I would still love to study law, become a lawyer and join politics, but I don’t feel bad being a musician,” he stated.
The Anambra State indigene studying Business Administration in Cyprus recounts the heavy blow his father’s death dealt him.
“My biggest turning point occurred when I was just 14, I haven’t shared it with many people in my life because it’s something that makes me feel a bit bad. At that time, I had a big discussion with my father, he had better plans for my future and what I would become in the future. Not too long he died, and he was the only one who could get things done for the family, so I had to change plans of studying law. Now, I found myself enjoying music, not so bad,” he stated.
Rich Plug, who has traveled mostly to Asian countries, said that he has learned more from his journey and has imbibed it into his music.
“I have traveled mostly to Asia countries, I have been to China, Indonesia and now in Cyprus. I’ve learnt so many things, I’ve learnt that life is all about believing in yourself and doing the best you can to enjoy life while still alive.
“I can really say my worst moments in travels are always change of flight times, and I love traveling, I get to meet people I never planned to meet, mostly some who are willing to support my career,” he stated.
Rich Plug without mincing words avows that part of his biggest desires is to make his widowed mother proud of him.
“My biggest dreams is to be successful. I also dream of making my mother proud. I dream of making it big in the music industry. I also desire to live a prosperous life by God’s grace.
