LOKOJA— A Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja has restrained Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, from using Lokoja as the collation centre for Kogi West Senatorial district.

Presiding Judge, Justice D.U.Okorowu, in his ruling asked INEC to revert to Kabba, the senatorial district headquarters as the district’s collation centre, stating that it would take only the National Assembly to effect the change to Lokoja.
The ruling followed a motion filed by the Kogi West Senatorial PDP Chairman, Kola Ojo, seeking an interlocutory injunction to determine whether it was proper to make Lokoja the collation centre for the election when Kabba is the senatorial district headquarters.
