BREAKING: Ezekwesili withdraws from presidential race

The presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Oby Ezekwesili, has withdrawn from the February 16 presidential election.


Ezekwesili, according to a statement explained that it is time for all to build a coalition government.

On her verified Twitter account, Ezekwesili said that following massive consultation after the presidential debate with leaders of various walks of life, “I’ve decided to step down and focus on building a coalition for the alternative of #APCPDP.

The coalition for a viable alternative has more than ever before become an urgent mission for an on behalf of the citizenry.

“Over the past three months, I’ve been in priavte extended talks with other candidates to make coalition possible that would allow Nigerians to exercise choice without feeling helplessly saddled with the #APCPDP.”
