It was a display of in-depth knowledge of the scriptures  at the finals of the annual national Bible Society of Nigeria, BSN quiz competition for secondary schools at the District Headquarters of The Apostolic Church in Palmgrove, Lagos.

At the end of the keenly contested competition, Salako David and Nwosu Izuckukwu of Igbobi Coll-ege, Lagos, emerged win-ners.

They were followed by St. Mary & Joseph School, Imo State while Standard Christian School clinched the third position.

Addressing participants and guests at the event, the corporate develop-ment consultant to BSN, Mr. Victor Damilare, said the competition was org-anised to help youths develop Godly values by taking them back to the bible.

He added that because youths of today have so many gadgets at their dis-posal, they seldom have time to study the bible.

Describing the youngsters as catalysts to needed transformation and posit-ive change in Nigeria, Dami-lare urged the partici-pants to shun corrupt practices but rather be agents of transformation and positive change in their various communities.

For the 16th edition, there were representatives from the six geo-political zones.
