THE Ebenanaowie of Tuomo Kingdom, HRM Francis Tabai, Pere Esuku I, has received his staff of office from Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa.

The governor, represented by his deputy, Kingsley Otuaro, made the presentation at Tuomo community, an occasion that also witnessed the emergence of High Chief Mike Loyibo as the Tonkepa (Prime Minister) of Tuomo Kingdom, alongside five others who were awarded various chieftaincy titles by the monarch.

The Pere, in his address read by the Burutu council chairman, Godknows Angele, described Governor Okowa as a man in a hurry to reposition Delta State.

He said: “Our only plea is that Deltans should be patient with him and give him the needed support so that he will take us to the promised land.”

On his part, Okowa congratulated the monarch on his ascension to the throne and commended stakeholders of the kingdom for the peaceful process that led to the emergence of the monarch.

He said: “As a retired judge, he would have a lot to offer the Ijaw nation, Delta State and the country at large.”

Also speaking, Chief Loyibo, said: “ HRM Esuku I has a very rich curriculum vitae, which would be of immense benefit to the people of Tuomo kingdom, the Ijaw nation and Nigeria. We pledge our loyalty to him.”
