Of the amount, N3,175,521,871 is for recurrent expenditure, while N10,810,346,140 is allocated to capital projects.

While presenting the supplementary proposal, Governor Al-Makura expressed his administra-tion’s determined efforts to ensure that no project is left uncompleted at the expiration of his tenure, stressing that efforts were on to complete all capital projects in the state.

According to him, the 2018 budget were underfunded, adding that because of their importance to the public, it had become necessary to request for additional funds to complete them.

He said: “We are determined to leave a manageable debt size for the incoming administration.

“Most of these obligations were not adequately funded in the 2018 Appropriation Act as earlier stated, hence the need to submit the supplementary appropriation bill for legislative action.”

After Majority Leader of the House, Tanko Tunga, presented the proposal, the Speaker, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, slated November 27 for the second reading of the bill.
