Ugwuanyi committed to workers’ welfare, says Ngige, TUC boss

ENUGU—THE Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige and the National President of Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC, Comrade Bobboi Bala Kaigama, have commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State for his sterling performance in office and outstanding commitment to the welfare of the state’s workers.

The duo made the commendations in their separate speeches during the ground breaking of 100 Housing Units for Nigerian workers by the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, FMBN, in collaboration with Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, TUC and Nigeria Employer’s Consultative Association, NECA, held at Ede-Oballa, Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Speaking at the epoch making event, the TUC National President stated that his leadership was proud of Gov. Ugwuanyi for not only paying workers’ salaries regularly but also for ensuring that they “have decent working environment”.

Comrade Kaigama who said: “Ugwuanyi is second to none in the provision of workers’ welfare in the South East geo-political zone,” added that “the governor has set the pace for other states to emulate.”
