Mourinho vows not to celebrate if Man Utd beat Chelsea

Jose Mourinho insists he won’t ‘celebrate like crazy’ if his Manchester Utd side win at former club Chelsea this weekend.

Mourinho heads back to west London looking for a second successive victory after his side’s dramatic 3-2 win over Newcastle last time out, a result that eased some of the pressure that had been mounting on the 55-year-old following a four-game winless run as well as reports of a bust-up with midfielder Paul Pogba.

The Portuguese has lost on each of his three visits to Stamford Bridge as Red Devils manager and suffered a 1-0 defeat in the FA Cup final at Wembley in May.

Chelsea meanwhile have made a fine start to the season under new boss Maurizio Sarri, with the club winning six and drawing two of their opening eight matches to sit second in the Premier League on goal difference behind leaders Manchester City.

Speaking at a news conference ahead of Saturday’s game Mourinho was keen to play down the significance of his return to a club where he won eight major trophies, including three Premier League titles, over two spells as manager.

“For me it is another game. Would I celebrate like crazy if my team score a goal at Stamford Bridge or my team wins at Stamford Bridge? I don’t think so.
