Sen. Abdullahi Adamu

LAFIA—HE fight between former governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, and the incumbent, Governor Tanko Al-Makura, deepened yesterday after Adamu accused the governor of wasting the taxpayers’ money in the state in the name of probing his administration.
Adamu described the constitution of a panel to probe his administration by Al-Makura as a mismanagement and misplacement of the state resources.
His words: “Al-Makura’s decision to probe me is being carried out to see if I will be forced into accepting the abuse of democratic process enshrined in the constitution of our party, APC, in the process of selecting a governorship aspirant of the party for the 2019 elections.”
On the lease agreement for the management of Keffi Hotels, Adamu said a private company with which he is associated, Pan-Afric Resources Limited, entered into a lease agreement with the late Plateau State Military Administrator, Col. Joshua Madaki in 1990/1991, five years down the line before the creation of Nasarawa State.
Adamu said he will not succumb to “blackmail and intimidation” over his political stand with Al-Makura, insisted that the Farin Ruwa project was never abandoned.
