Mr. Seleem Adegunwa , Managing Director, Rite Foods Limited at the on going Y2018 African Athletics Championship tagged “Champions of the Niger” said that sports remained one of the tools to unite nations that brought out the best in people.
Mr Adegunwa said that the company, makers of Bigi soft drinks variants, Fearless Energy drinks, Bigi and Rite Sausages as part of its corporate social responsibility rolled out N3million worth of products for athletes and spectators alike.
“ In Rite Foods we believe sports can unite nations, bringing out the best in youths and adults alike, hence creating an atmosphere of peace in the world at large.
“We also believe that ordinary people are capable of delivering extra ordinary things and so we always get involved with such, through sponsorships, Corporate Social Responsibilities and the likes in one form or the other. So, the products served nourish specially for the athletes and replaced lost energy. .” He emphasised.
Speaking on the gesture of Rite foods, Mr. Bukola Olopade, a Member of the Planning Committee, Asaba 2018, said that the Championship enjoyed partnership with Rite Foods as the official beverage sponsor of the African Athletics Championship 2018. “Rite Foods must be showered accolades for sponsoring this event and the reason is not far fetched; lots of brands do not understand what it takes to be part of an event of this nature and magnitude.”
“At the opening event, Rite Foods Limited fed for free, thousands of adults and over 7,000 young school children multiple times with drinks and sausages. Again, when we approached Rite Foods Limited for partnership, it was seamless, very straight forward and what has amazed me about how Rite Foods has operated in the course of this sponsorship is the way the company has activated and showed up immensely to be fully involved.” Olopade added.
