Pray for peace, security , Oba Ewuare II urges Muslims

Benin – Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, has urged Muslims to use the opportunity of the Eid-el Kabir celebration to pray fervently for peace and security of the nation.

The monarch made the call in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Desmond Agbama, and made available on Saturday in Benin

The monarch was quoted as calling for prayers for a free, fair and credible election as the nation gradually approaches’ another election.

While felicitating with Muslims faithful on the occasion of Eid-el Kabir celebration, Oba called on all Muslims to emulate the virtues of prophet Mohammed, the most merciful and most benevolent.

The Benin monarch reminded Muslims of the need to live harmoniously with other Nigerians irrespective of religious leanings in order to ensure peace, unity and progress of the country.

Oba Ewuare wished every Muslim a happy Sallah celebration. (NAN)
